BArch MArch
Kim’s experience ranges across disciplines, sectors, and stages. Her architectural background includes work in the residential, workplace/sci-tech, commercial mixed used and transport sectors, spanning from concept design through to completion. Since joining Ellis Williams, Kim has broadened her experience to include the education sector. Kim has developed a collaborative and adaptable approach, with strengths in cross-disciplinary coordination, stakeholder engagement, and socially responsible design.
Through working as an urban design consultant, she gained valuable insight into the relationship between buildings and the urban realm. Kim is particularly passionate about adaptive reuse, building physics, and energy efficiency, and is committed to creating architecture that responds intelligently to social, environmental, and economic context. While working on retrofit projects under the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund, she focused on tackling fuel poverty and improving quality of life through sustainable design interventions.
Alongside project work, Kim advocates for equitable and inclusive access to the built environment, promoting accessible digital documentation through office-wide training, and encouraging wider engagement with the built environment through outreach, workshops, and mentoring.
