Josh Heale

Architect

BA (Hons) MArch ARB

Since commencing his career in the industry in 2014, Joshua has developed a real interest in educational design and has gained valuable experience on a wide range of primary, secondary and SEND school projects across Wales and North-West England, including a new Welsh Medium primary school in Flint and a major extension and refurbishment scheme for Ysgol Glanrafon in Mold.

His passion for education projects resulted in him writing his Masters dissertation on contemporary education design and how this has evolved throughout the 21st century. This research, together with his experience on a wide variety of education building typologies, has resulted in him developing an incredible depth of knowledge associated with the technical requirements of the sector.

Joshua also has an excellent background in BIM and is part of a new generation of young designers who have learnt to design in a virtual environment. This enhances his understanding and capability to support and bolster project delivery.

Since joining Ellis Williams in early 2023 Joshua has worked on primary school, secondary school, leisure centre and library schemes including the new £30million Halton Leisure Centre, where his strong technical design skills in relation to functionality, flexibility and sustainability have been well utilised.
