Andrew Jarman
Architect
BSc(Hons) MArch ARB
Andrew’s experience is broad, having worked on a wide variety of private and large scale residential projects as well as in the civic & community, education, sport & leisure, commercial and industrial sectors on schemes ranging in value up to £35m.
He has a particular interest in making our buildings better for people and the environment, creating responsive and sustainable architecture that will serve the needs of the communities we work in for many years to come. This is reflected in his current work on the Westmoreland Village development in Douglas, Isle of Man – a large sustainable development based on the “20-minute neighbourhood” concept providing a mix of residential dwellings, affordable housing, high quality public spaces and places to work.
Andrew is passionate about improving mental health in architecture. He is an accredited Mental Health First Aider and as an Ambassador for the Architect’s Benevolent Society he is regularly engaging and planning events promoting wellbeing, including speaking publicly about his early career struggles.
