Sarah Alrazak

Part 2 Architectural Assistant

BSc(Hons) MArch

Sarah is a Part 2 architectural assistant who joined our Liverpool studio in Spring 2024 with five years of experience in architectural practice. Since joining Ellis Williams, Sarah has been involved in preliminary studies of the existing and historic Coliseum Theatre in Oldham, and the Royal Liverpool University Hospital masterplan which aims to strengthen and facilitate the current intricate network of healthcare and educational facilities on the site.

Sarah graduated from the University of Wolverhampton with First Class Honours in Bachelor of Architecture (BSc). She was awarded Best Project and Exhibition Exemplary Student for her final Bachelors project – a masterplan in Wolverhampton for elderly care specifically for those with dementia.

While working in practice at Chetwoods Architects, Sarah studied part-time at Birmingham City University, earning a Merit in her Masters in Architecture (MArch). Her projects were dedicated to surveying existing buildings to appreciate over-looked spaces full of narratives and connections to their communities.

Sarah’s natural approach to her university projects is deeply rooted in design through conversation. By way of example, Sarah’s masters research project focused on how the well-being of her work colleagues at her first practice was changed by their office environment before and during the first Covid-19 lock-down. With this project, her research was featured in an online RIBA event Healthy Workplace Healthy Profession in 2020.

Sarah has utilised her developed graphics skills and worked briefly in 2024 as an Architectural Illustrator. Alongside this, she has a passion to engage with architectural writing after publishing an online article on RIBA Journal in 2022. Sarah has since reviewed book proposals and a manuscript for RIBA Publishing.
