Jamie McShane

Architect

BA(Hons) DipArch ARB

Jamie graduated from the Liverpool School of Art and Design at Liverpool John Moores University and worked on a range of projects in the UK and abroad which established his experience in Leisure & Hospitality and the Residential Sector.

Before joining Ellis Williams in 2022, he spent almost 6 years with Brock Carmichael Architects and assisted their team with their growing portfolio of Hotel, Bar & Restaurant projects whilst pursuing his passion for contemporary housing design. Since joining our team, he has worked on a wide range of Sport & Leisure, Arts & Cultural and Education schemes across the North West.

Jamie has always been devoted to social regeneration and he believes in using the design process as a vehicle to engage local communities and inform his approach to projects. This has been particularly evident throughout his involvement in the design for the new Crewe History Centre – a state-of-the-art facility in Crewe town centre which will co-host the region’s archives and bring the collections closer to people, providing more opportunities for them to interact with the collections and helping them to celebrate their personal and community’s histories. Located next to Memorial Square, the resulting scheme will also transform the public space around it and provide a high quality new focal point for the town centre and improved connectivity.

In addition to his role as a Project Architect, Jamie also supports our BIM Manager by helping colleagues with day-to-day queries, undertaking BIM Project Audits, carrying out clash detection and assisting on projects with COBie deliverable requirements.
