Jamie joined Ellis Williams’ Manchester studio in 2025 as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant after completing his degree in Architecture at the University of Manchester, receiving First Class Honours. In addition, his final year design studio project was awarded the 2025 ‘Jicwood Prize for Innovation, Sustainability and Clarity of the Architectural Concept’.

Emerging from his undergraduate studies, Jamie’s approach to design is rooted in the belief that truly enduring architecture lies at the intersection between sustainability, social equity, and contextual sensitivity. Thus he is driven to create spaces that are not only environmentally and socially responsible, but also regenerative, uplifting and which reflect a profound connection to place.

Enjoying the opportunity to apply his skills and ideas within professional practice, Jamie continues to learn in his role at Ellis Williams, expanding his technical knowledge, collaborating across disciplines, and gaining valuable insight through a range of projects within the heritage, civic, and education sectors as he pursues his ambition to become a qualified Architect.
