José studied Architecture in the Universitat Politècnica de València in Spain and completed internships at architectural practices in Freiburg and Berlin before joining Ellis Williams in 2017.

In his role as Project Architect he has been responsible for the design and delivery of a number of major cinema design and fit-out schemes for UCI across Germany such as UCI Othmarschen in Hamburg which included a full re-design and refurbishment of the existing cinema to adapt it to the new design standards of IMAX cinemas. He has also been involved in the major remodelling and refurbishments of UCI cinemas in Potsdam (Bahnhofspassagen) and Berlin (Gropiuspassagen and Mercedes Platz) to create new UCI Luxe cinemas.

His wider experience includes major new hotel developments for Moxy and a number of interior design and fit-out schemes for clients such as Facebook / Meta, Epic Games, Netflix, Booking.com and Rocycle across Germany.

He is also a BIM Specialist and keeps our Berlin Studio up to date with the latest standards, industry best practice, technologies and software in relation to BIM technology.
