Steve has over 34 years’ experience in the construction industry, designing and collaborating upon many building types. The breadth of his experience ranges from small domestic extensions to major redevelopment schemes up to £200m.
He has a passion for urban design and in particular how mixed-use developments can compliment and help define the urban fabric of towns and cities – bringing vitality to brownfield sites and rejuvenating areas that cannot sustain new buildings in isolation. This passion is reflected in some of his past work, which includes the £65m One Park West in Liverpool, the £150m Shed 8 Ransome’s Wharf in Ipswich and the £200m New China Town development in Liverpool.
At Ellis Williams, he has utilised his expert knowledge in this sector to design innovative mixed use re-development schemes such as Brunel (Swindon) and Nelson Gate (Southampton), in addition to his work across other sectors including education, sport & leisure, residential and commercial. He has extensive and varied experienced in technical design and delivery of projects including Reel Blackburn Cinema, The Manchester College Openshaw campus, Stafford College Skills and Innovation Hub and Hough End Leisure Centre expansion project.
