Nikki has 30 years experience in Landscape Architecture and is skilled in managing projects through all stages of the design process from client liaison, concept design, consultation and design development through to implementation and landscape management. Working as part of a design team or independently she has undertaken a diverse range of projects that include: urban parks, public realm and urban regeneration schemes, schools and educational establishments, historic park restoration, housing, highway landscaping, sports grounds, public art commissioning, and leisure facilities.
A creative landscape designer with an excellent understanding of how the environment works and what makes each place unique; she brings vision, imagination and technical rigor to a project, regardless of scale. Strong knowledge of the natural sciences, horticulture, biodiversity, sustainable urban drainage, environmental law and strategic landscape planning. With a passion for the external environment both natural and built she has a particular interest in introducing ecological biodiversity into projects and working with clients to help realize the full landscape potential of a site. She also believes one of the most important aspects of landscape design is its influence on quality of life and social interaction and integrates this ethos into her work.
Nikki is an examiner for the Landscape Institute’s ‘Pathway to Chartership’ programme.
