Mike Giblin

Mike studied and graduated from the Liverpool University School of Architecture gaining a First Class within his BA Hons degree and completing his BArch and RIBA Professional Diploma in 1997. Since joining Ellis Williams in 2001, he has brought a diverse and extensive range of project experience to the practice, having worked within the public and private sectors on a variety of award-winning projects which have been RIBA and Civic Trust Awards / commendations.

Mike specialises in the technical design and delivery of Further Education projects, working with colleges across the UK on a wide variety of specialist schemes. His experience includes the £60million Quarry Hill Campus for Leeds City College (providing new, state-of-the-art accommodation for their School of Creative Arts and School of Social Science) and the major redevelopment of The Manchester College’s Openshaw Campus to provide two new ‘Centres of Excellence’ for Sport and Health & Social Care. He is also currently leading the architectural team in the design and delivery of a £23million Skills & Innovation Hub for Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group.

His wider experience includes a range of projects across the education, commercial, leisure, heritage and residential sectors.
