Micaela Jacobson

Architectural Assistant

March(Prof) BAS(Hons)(Dist.) BAS(Dist.) (University of Cape Town)

Micaela received her Masters degree in Architecture from the University of Cape Town in South Africa before joining a well-known Cape Town architectural practice (Vivid Architects) and working for two years on a major mixed use development scheme called Bridgewater One – a hugely successful scheme comprising of a hotel, residential apartments, office spaces and communal courtyard.

She moved to the UK and joined Ellis Williams in early 2022 where she has since worked on a wide range of projects across the education, arts & culture, residential and healthcare sectors. She is also involved in the major Westmoreland Village development in Douglas, Isle of Man – a large sustainable development based on the “20-minute neighbourhood” concept providing a mix of residential dwellings, affordable housing, high quality public spaces and places to work.

Micaela believes in the transformative power of design and its ability to elevate spaces, fostering both functionality and aesthetic appeal. She is an excellent communicator and has a unique wealth of on-site and construction experience for such a young architectural designer.
