Lucy Mills
Senior Architect & Certified Passive House Designer
BA(Hons) MArch ARB
Lucy has always been passionate about sustainable design – an interest she developed during her time studying at the University of Liverpool where she developed a design for an Urban farm in a city-centre location as part of a group thesis project and won the Green Guild Start-Up Project prize.
She began her career at FDG and continued to pursue her interest in sustainable design, working on a variety of major schemes including the Glaxo Smith Kline Carbon Neutral Laboratories for Sustainable Chemistry at the University of Nottingham – a flagship scheme that achieved both BREEAM Outstanding and LEED platinum certification and won multiple awards including both RIBA and RICS awards.
Prior to joining Ellis Williams in 2022, Lucy was a Senior Architect at Atkins where she designed and delivered a number of major residential and commercial developments including the £21million Plaza 1821 residential development as part of Peel L&P’s Liverpool Waters regeneration scheme.
Lucy is now a Senior Architect in our Wellfield studio working on a range of education, residential and healthcare schemes. Continuing her passion for sustainable design, she recently qualified as a Certified Passive House Designer and utilises this to encourage passive house design and support client ambitions to achieve high levels of comfort and quality with low energy technology.
