Dean Trust Ardwick has served the local area since 2015, originally with space to accommodate 1,200 pupils. However, in just five years the school had identified the need to expand its existing learning environments in order to meet the growing demand for secondary school places in the local area.
Our team carried out an analysis of the existing building revealing that the site fell short of the government’s mainstream school requirements and as a result The Dean Trust appointed Ellis Williams Architects to design an expansion to increase capacity at the school.
This project allowed the school to increase capacity from 1,200 to 1,350 through the creation of a new two-storey teaching block and an extension to the dining area, alongside internal classroom remodelling and refurbishments.
The project was delivered through the Procure Partnerships Framework with contractor partner Seddon.
