Canterbury Primary School is a new-build 2 form entry school, providing modern, state-of-the-art teaching and learning accommodation for over 420 pupils. The new school was built as part of the Priority School Building Programme on the Canterbury Campus Development to create one of the first all-through federations in the country.
Our design team developed the design in close consultation with the school, the DfE (Department for Education), the local community, Canterbury City Council and Kent County Council. The project was very well received by the school, especially the heart of the school that has a 2-storey top-lit library space.
The scheme achieved BREEAM Very Good and incorporated a range of sustainable features.
