Ellis Williams has submitted a pre-planning application for Zip World’s new adventure hotel situated just south of the town of Llanrwst in Conwy County Borough lying just outside the border of the Snowdonia National Park.
The 75 room, four star hotel, proposals provide adventure based experiences including a giant slide through the centre arriving within the ground floor reception and cafe/bar, external climbing wall, virtual reality pods and underground subterranean caves. A small lane pool on the top floor stretches out above the central atrium with accompanying saunas that feature extensive views down the valley.
The new hotel will meet a need for accommodation in the area as it booms from adrenaline attractions like Surf Snowdonia and Zip World’s own zipwire, giant trampoline and tree top facilities.
Public consultation launched on Monday and will run until July 10. A drop-in community consultation event will be held at the Eagles Hotel, Llanrwst between 11am – 2pm on Saturday 17th June. Following public consultation a planning application will be submitted to Conwy Country Borough Council with construction proposed to start in 2018.
