Introduced in 2017 to highlight the crème de la crème of property achievements in Yorkshire, the popular Game Changer Awards looks at projects or deals which have had a material effect on the surrounding environment or on the market, which are widely recognised (in the property sector) as worthy of praise and which show excellence in conception, design and execution.
The £60m city centre site, opened to students in September 2018 marking a major milestone in the city’s new state-of-the-art learning space. The new nine-storey development includes Leeds City College’s School of Creative Arts and School of Social Science, Higher Education Centre and Leeds College of Music.
The education building also includes a performance studio, dance and rehearsal spaces, specialist sound equipment, TV studios, digital arts and animation facilities, a simulated practical care suite and nutrition training kitchen. The facilities have been carefully developed to meet the academic and vocational training specialisms of each of the individual schools.
