Ellis Williams Architects climbed twelve places up to forty-three in the AJ100 2019 ranking which lists the UK’s most successful and innovative architectural practices.
The AJ100 is a ranking of the largest architectural practices in the UK, measured by the number of qualified architects employed. Published annually since 1995 this survey offers a timely snapshot of the profession over the previous calendar year and measures the level of optimism among practices for the year to come. This is the third consecutive year the practice has climbed position and follows a year celebrating our fifty year anniversary and expansion of the Liverpool and Manchester studios.
Work over the next twelve months see numerous major projects in the pipeline including a number of high-rise residential and mixed use schemes in Croydon, Southampton and Swindon, the Wirral Waters Maritime Knowledge Hub which will become an internationally recognised facility and the University of Liverpool’s Arts and Humanities Centre featuring teaching facilities and a 400-seat auditorium.
Recently completed projects range from the transformation of the iconic and world famous ODOEN cinema at London Leicester Square and the Quarry Hill Campus redevelopment for Leeds City College a new state-of-the-art campus situated in the newly developed cultural quarter.
