Transforming the existing Chapel Lane building into a modern, community-focused health and wellbeing destination that will serve local residents for generations to come.
Scheduled to open in 2028, the leisure centre will provide a range of high-quality leisure and wellness facilities, including a swimming pool, sports hall, fitness studios, health and wellbeing spaces, and a café. The redevelopment forms part of Trafford Council’s long-term strategy to enhance sports and leisure provision across the borough.
The project has secured £18.3 million of Levelling Up funding from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, alongside a further £2 million investment from Sport England.
We have worked closely with Trafford Council, Trafford Leisure and the wider project team to develop proposals that reimagine the existing building as a vibrant, inclusive and sustainable community asset. The scheme is designed to support healthier lifestyles, encourage greater participation in physical activity and create a welcoming environment for people of all ages and abilities.
All are looking forward to seeing the transformation take shape over the coming months and to supporting the delivery of a facility that will make a lasting positive impact on Partington and the surrounding communities.
