Having previously been commissioned by the School Governors to produce a masterplan for the Science Schools, we were chosen once again for this project multi-phased refurbishment. The brief was to unite three buildings had been built over the 1970s, 1980s and as far back as the Victorian era.

Our intervention took the form of a new two storey extension forming a new entrance to the school and a complete re-working of the internal spaces and circulation.  Exposed roof trusses and original glazed bricks are contrasted against a curved structural glass teacher pod with a bridge to connect the circulation between the two main buildings.
