Cardinal Newman College was selected as one of the first providers of new T-Level qualifications and will be delivering both the Digital T-Level and the Education & Childcare T-Level from September 2020, with further courses to be added from September 2021.

To meet the requirement for additional teaching accommodation to support T Level learners, Ellis Williams Architects was appointed to design a new three storey teaching building on the existing college site. The building will provide a high-quality learning environment with industry standard learning spaces including eleven new teaching spaces, staff offices, an open learning area, small group rooms and support space.

The appearance creates a modern building that adopts a similar design aesthetic to other existing buildings within the campus, such as the St Francis Building on Manchester Road. The external materials will be in keeping with the palette of materials used elsewhere within the campus.

Planning permission was granted on 10th March 2020.

“The College is delighted with the progress being made to prepare for the start of our T-Level offer in September.”
