Beormund is a maintained special school catering for primary age pupils with social, emotional and mental health issues in Southwark.  The brief was for a new school building with a capacity of 45 pupils and 25 staff. Due to the nature of the needs of the children, class sizes are very small and high attention to detail needed to be paid when designing the layout and spaces to ensure that the new building catered for their needs. We have been working in close consultation with the school,  governors and local authority throughout the process to develop first the detailed education brief and then the building and landscape designs.
