This project involved the conversion of a Victorian Theatre into a flagship five-screen cinema. Situated in the basement of a Grade 1 Listed office block, the Plaza in Lower Regent Street, the cinema is above the main Piccadilly underground line and created technical difficulties of noise, vibration, access and egress.  The design challenge was also to make the cinema ‘visible’ to the public and this was successfully accomplished using an atrium and a glass stair.
