On Thursday afternoon we were delighted to support the Forum for the Built Environment Leeds team and Wates Construction with a site tour of our £47m new campus for Leeds City College at Quarry Hill in the heart of the city. The new campus will be the new home of Creative Arts, Health and Social Caring, Higher Education and Leeds College of Music.
Over 30 FBE members attended the building tour followed by a presentation by Louise Sheridan of Ellis Williams Architects and Dave Clarke of Wates outlining the design concept and construction challenges of such a technically complex project. The evening was rounded off with a fabulous curry. Feedback was really positive from everyone that visited, particularly regarding the stunning views that the building offers at every level of the ever-changing Leeds skyline.
