The Victorian Barry Pumphouse, featuring on Channel 4’s Great British Building’s Victorian episode, is in the running for the Restoration of the Year accolade.
Presented by Kevin McCloud and Dr Anna Keay, Director of the Landmark Trust, the programme looks at impressive restorations and renovations of historic buildings and offers a rare opportunity for people to see the hard work that goes into a restoration project.
This Grade-II listed building and one of the few hydraulic pump house buildings left in Wales has already won a series of architectural awards for the live/work apartments as well as focussing on supporting local start-up businesses such as Hang Fire Smokehouse.
The Victorian episode of Great British Buildings: Restoration of the Year will be shown at 8pm on Thursday, March 30 on Channel 4.
