Charities and Communities

We regularly participate in fundraising events and make a number of private charitable donations each year. The Chester Dragon Boat Race is a particular favourite of ours where money is raised for the ‘charity of the year’, which for 2018 is The Clatterbridge Charity – a hospital dedicated to providing outstanding cancer care.

We are part of national and regional frameworks and have made a commitment to contribute to Social Value benefits for the communities in which we operate, this includes ‘Social Value in Kind’ and Financial Contribution to Community Benefit Funds. As part of the High Value NWCH framework to deliver the Education Basic Needs High School Programme, we developed a social sustainability plan which included sustainable apprenticeships and local business opportunities which were successfully delivered.

Bridge Community Farms is a social enterprise based in Ellesmere Port, a working farm that brings together people from all parts of the local community and offers a helping hand to those in need.  Their main purpose is to offer permanent and sustainable jobs of growing and selling fruit, vegetables, salads and herbs to the local community , to people who are long-term unemployed.

Via the NWCH and the Northwich Memorial Court Lifestyles project, we became founding supporters to Bridge Community Farm Social Enterprise and pledged support by donating money and professional time to help and support the set up enabling them to ‘grow better lives’.

We are committed to transforming the communities we work in, going beyond the building and actively supporting our clients’ strategic aims. We have worked with bespoke plans that target our clients’ priority areas and benefit the local community through every stage, which has been important to the success of many projects.
