Plot A10 Langdon House is located within the heart of the Swansea Docklands known as the SA1 Swansea Waterfront Regeneration Area.Won by competitive selection by the Welsh Assembly Government, the building responds to the client brief to provide a variety of self-contained business units for SMEs. With a GEA of 37,800 sq ft and NIA of 32,300 sq ft. the units range in size from 2,155 sq ft to 3,774 sq ft. Built-in flexibility allows the possibility of units being combined or sub divided depending on tenant need. Each unit has its own front door either directly from the street or via the 3-storey open access atrium.Externally the 4-storey brick rotunda at the Langdon Road junction provides a vista from Technium Square to the West with a 3-storey colonnaded central core / atrium overlooking the waterside.The building was achieved BREEAM Excellent in line with the Welsh Assembly Government's policy for publicly supported projects.

Robert joined EllisWilliams in 1998 after studying at Sheffield University, and was a key member of the team that designed and realised the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead, which opened in 2002. He was the lead architect for the Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot, responsible for developing the brief with the local council and local arts groups, designing the building in collaboration with artist Jacqui Poncelet, presenting designs to the council and public and overseeing works on site.
He also has a wide range of experience of secondary school and further education projects including the redevelopment of the Southampton City College Campus which provided new performing arts and media teaching facilities within new and remodelled buildings all of which achieved BREEAM 'Excellent'.
Robert is an RIBA accredited Client Design Advisor offering specialist advice to Clients in developing projects from the earliest stages, and was also part of the EWA team of architectural advisors to the Arts Council, reviewing projects submitted for Arts Council funding.
Currently Robert is leading the team on the redevelopment of Warwick University Arts Centre.
