Mirko studied architecture at the Technical University in Berlin, gaining his diploma in 1995. His early work included a mix of leisure, commercial and residential schemes with Sidell Gibson Schäfer, as well as the refurbishment and extension of a Listed former railway station.

He joined Ellis Williams in 1999 and has since led design teams on a wide range of leisure and commercial schemes across Europe including major new cinema schemes (UCI Luxe Mercedes Platz and UCI Luxe Potsdam) and a variety of commercial office and interior fit-out schemes for blue chip clients including Meta, Netflix, Amazon and Booking.com.
