Richard Alonso

Senior Associate

BA(Hons) DipArch ARB RIBA

Before joining Ellis Williams, Richard worked for a London-based architectural practice on various high end commercial office new build and refurbishment projects, fitness clubs and bank fit-outs in central London.

As a Senior Associate in our London studio, he now works predominantly in the education sector, specialising in Independent School projects. His work includes many award-winning schemes for independent schools across London and the South East, such as Notting Hill & Ealing High School, Northwood College, Blackheath High School, Oxford High School, Ecole Jeannine Manuel and Charterhouse Square School.

His projects in this sector have often involved work to historic buildings set within conservation areas, as well as being delivered in live school settings on tight urban sites, therefore Richard has developed specialist skills and expertise in the successful design, planning and delivery of this type of scheme.

Richard’s wider experience includes a major remodelling and refurbishment of Nursing & Midwifery Council’s head office in Portland Place and a major programme of refurbishment across Anglia Ruskin University’s Cambridge and Chelmsford campuses to create flexible agile working spaces for both staff and students.
