Jorge gained his architectural qualifications from the Universidad Central de Venezuela before joining Constructora 1906 C.A. (a multi-faceted construction and consultancy company in Venezuela) as a Project Architect responsible for the design and delivery of a wide range of education, residential and commercial schemes.
In 2017, Jorge moved to the UK and joined Ellis Williams where he has continued to work on a wide range of schemes across the education, arts & cultural and residential sectors, including award-winning major projects such as Campus Whitehaven and UTC Warrington.
Over the past years, he has developed a particular interest in sports & leisure design, working on a wide range of sports facilities across the UK including 4no. new build leisure centres (Spen Valley Leisure Centre, IB Leisure, Abraham Moss Library & Leisure Centre and Halton Leisure Centre) and a major refurbishment of Manchester Velodrome to improve spectator facilities and upgrade services installations to help meet Manchester City Council’s aspiration to achieve net zero by 2038.
