Planning permission has been granted for a new sports centre at Stoke on Trent College. The new building will be situated in the Hanley Park Conservation Area. The development will enhance a corner of the park that is currently derelict, a space which once operated as the nursery for the great glasshouses that used to stand nearby.
The building will be used to teach sports science and coaching at the same time as being a new centre for the college and community. The building includes a sports hall, fitness suite and dance space. It will go on site before the end of the year.
